About Us

We conceived the idea of Laerd Statistics whilst undergoing our education at a top British University.

It became apparent to us that there was no fully comprehensive guide to undertaking statistical courses as part of a non-statistics degree, e.g. psychology, business, etc. on the web. You had to reply upon books, which were either very expensive or forever booked-out of the library.

Clearly, we knew there had to be a better way, hence Laerd Statistics was born. So what is Laerd Statistics?

Laerd Statistics is a site providing high-quality, FREE statistics guides and tutorials that will help you tremendously whilst undertaking a degree at University.

Nowadays, in order to solve many statistical problems you use a computer programme. Therefore, we have focussed the guides from the perspective of someone whom is trying to get to grips with SPSS to solve their statistical problems.
